Balaji is a UGC Post-Doctoral Fellow associated with the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad. He has been associated with the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad since 2009-10 for pursuit of Doctoral Studies and Post-Doctoral research engagements. During 2015-16, he was an ICSSR Post-Doctoral Research Scholar. His research engagements and interests are inclined towards: impact of economic liberalisation policies on Indian agriculture, world trade organisation’s agricultural policies and impact on third world countries, cropping pattern, crop index and supply response analysis in agriculture and other developmental issues. His publications and research engagements are heavily tilted towards Micro Economics, Growth Economics, Agricultural Economics and International Economics perspectives. His publications, research engagements and other professional assignments are heavily tilted towards the agricultural sector and agricultural economics.
